http://footballsuperstars.com/

Has anyone looked about this game? Some BH members have played and/or are looking forward for it. It's a currently in closed beta football MMORPG. You don't just play 11vs11(?) games but you also customize your superstar with clothes and trainings(?). I haven't looked much about and aren't so excited, but I would like to hear more. If anyone is interested, be sure to join on the battle... uhm... Footballground..?

me, obviously enough. (not that hullu didn't actually know that, just makin this clear to every1 else) the game is gonna be something big. you'll play as single football player rather than a manager or controlling a whole team of AI's, which in itself is a unique gaming experience. (in computer games, that is) the mmorpg thing comes from being able to visit the gym to train your characters physique and actually have him learn something new as you play more and more games with a certain role on the field. The game will have clubs managed by computers but each player being a real 1. These clubs will play seasons and are divided to multiple divisions to ensure that every1 has players of their own level to play with. The games start from 3vs3 and 5v5 games and eventually rise to 7vs7 and 11vs11 as you climb up in the divisions. Players can also manage their own clubs in the game, and we're hoping of being able to gather our own football club (FC BH or at least FC DS)

the game itself is said to play like an FPS with football and mmorpg elements, mainly meaning u can aim where-ever you want, but your skills will decide whether or not the ball will end up where you wanted it to go in the first place. it'll also have built-in voice communication, a feature that could have doubled the potential of DS public games.

let's keep the conversations up until we reach open beta and let's see what we're about. on the topic of our football club, who wants to play defense and more importantly, Goalie. If my guess is right, those 2 roles will be the hardest to fill. (every1 wants to make goals, rather than just prevent them, right?) It's my first time playing a fps football game, but i sucked at regular football, which is why i was usually forced to play goalie or defense, the roles that no1 actually wants, and more importantly, i'm a team player so, I don't mind if have to play 1 of these roles.

This is like, WHAT? A football MMORPG? I can understand games where you shoot people and kill things being fictional, but buying a football is way cheaper RL than buying a game like this.

"But I suck at football"

So what, you'll suck at this too once you start out, just like you sucked at DSP, You suck at anything at a beginner level, that's just how things are. If you play for fun, and enjoy yourself you'll kick ass in no time (or at least delusionally believing you do).

People play dating games instead of dating girls/guys, people play SIMS instead of managing their own lives, people play football games instead of playing football. The real deal will get you a more intense and rewarding experience, I promise, but it's like it's just too much.

I bet soon GAMING will be too an intense experience, and you'll play a game, where your character plays a computer game, and as he levels up, he gets better at that game and you can pat him on the head.

I'm sorry if I'm being an ass, but this game-idea just gets to me. Buy a game where you can go to the store and buy dinner. Where you go to school and study. Where you to to work and excell WOOT.

(or at least delusionally believing you do).

Either way, I'm having a great time. Looking back at my life as a grampa I'd rather tell my story about the I played in the suckiest team in the world and we got legendarily fucked every game, but we didn't care cuz we downed a few beers and went out to have fun, than the time we won the finals in a computer football game.
And that's not because gaming isn't fun, it's because I can't remember it. 99.9% of the time I spent gaming I can't even recall, it's just as if I killed time, and now that time is dead and provided me with little or nothing to even remember it by.

I like to dream like everyone else, playing God in black and white, being a SWAT member and commanding an army. These things I can't do anyway. Playing football is about the foot and the ball, and your mates, it's not harder than that.

And "Sparrisen can be a superstar in no time". Ask a kid when he plays football who he is when he plays. He's playin his own friggin game.

Eh, this game is totally free? No piratebay or shops or anything, just click button download and in the mean time register FREE account and play. Right now there isn't even a way to donate money to developers...

Although I understand Sparrisens point, not everyone can became a football star. Or even play football for that matter, due to various reasons. So just like when you dream being a member of the SWAT squad, I dream being out there and playing for Manchester United. Neither of those are very realistic goals for us, because let's face it, only a very small percentage makes it (yes that shouldn't stop you from trying, but you have to face the facts too), but thanks to video games we can atleast partially feel like being there Smiley.

Actually, Sparrisens last line pretty much summed it all up; that kid who wants to play football, plays it. We want to play computer games and so we do. Is it war, fantasy, roleplay or football, doesn't matter. Football is a game. We're just playing the virtual version of it. The same rules matter. Why can't we who wanna play virtual football lose every game, take a beer and laugh together and have fun?

Right, sorry for my outburst, everyone should do what they think is right and fun, and who am I to argue?

Peace and love

Anyone playing Football Superstars?  Pretty cool game! if your playing let me know and we can hook up. It's still in Beta and they are letting people in a little bit at a time but they seem to be ramping up access.
