Well guess what I've been through today... a war with my computer. Has anyone ever heard of Norton freaking out and not being able to complete a simple scan? Now you can say that you have, I guess. Norton 360 (Premier Edition) would stop mid-scan and I would have to use Window's Task Manager to shut it off. I started scanning in the first place because it had four "issues". Norton had somehow been turned off... Phishing Filter, Firewall, Web Protection and all that junk... *Ka-boom!*... gone. So I get to thinking that I'll take Gleip's word for it and download avast! Home Edition. 15 Files cleaned up thanks to that... And Norton scanning away.

I hate Trojans.

(Can a trojan protect itself from Norton scanning?... shut it off?... That's pretty freaky :/)

Well.... I think you have to thank Shal and beat me instead Wink.

He was the one who told you to d/l avast, while i said that you can turn Norton off while you run your DS server.
But you shouldn't surf on the internet though while its off.

sry for that; Seems that i was wrong Wink

Try to update your norton. and run a 2nd test (full test!) again!

For the norton shut down thingy... well actually its possible. Just guess how many computers would be unprotected if someone would find a way to blow norton off.

anyway; i hope verything works fine now Smiley

Just deinstall norton and keep avast innstaled. You should imo. never have to antivirus software at once.
Avast is one of the best out there, yet it is free (!). Avast includes a firewall.
