OK, so it seems that everyone plays this game. I tried it and its kinda fun in a tedious meat grinder sorta way. but it occurs to me that if 3-4 players got together and supported each other with builds and weaponry and actual teamplay and strategy then you could pretty much own! There is no better base of teamplayers then Dawnspire. I'm not looking for anything formal, just invite me to party with you and i will watch your back. Faro Noob is my name and I truly suck at it.

Faro, you DO realize that 99.8% of the people playing that game are under the age of 15?

I turned 16 almost a month ago Smiley
And I don't play COD for various reasons. I don't think that it's the right way to educate children about war. And, unlike Dawnspire, you get bonus stats/better weapons based on your achievements, meaning all the kids without real lives can rape you simply because they've played longer than you have.

Generally  speaking, children populate most games. But on any given day almost 500,000 people are playing COD. I've found that plenty of them are over 20.

Still, it's yet another one of those games that tries to make it attractive to children because that's where the money lies. I find it rather unethical considering that it's rated 16+ or 18+.

The money lies with focusing on the kids you say? Interesting. How do you propose we could utilize that for our best benefit?

Heck if I know. Make educative games so the children actually can learn about life?

There are many such games, from tag to climbing trees to truth or dare, seven minutes in heaven (or the variation "two minutes in the closet"), spin the bottle, post office, and wink...

They all have in common that they do not involve a computer however. What we would NEED is a computer game that seems seductive at first but generally wears a childs love for the computer as a recreational object down.

I do like COD black Ops. Dont have a PS3 or Xbox, but my mates have COD (one on xbox one on ps3), and its rly freaking funny to play the modes together. The one where u start with a 1handgun, and everytime u kill one u get a better weapon (1 kill = 2x1hand, 2 kill = better 2x1hand, 3 kill = pumpgun) etc. like you cant kill someone and your mate already has a bazooka and you kill him with your first weapon. its fun, really.

but alone its not that "funny", if you play it alone (most likely on PC), you're in another world. you're not present, you're IN the game. while when you're playing with some mates (and switching controller after each match for example, or even if not) you make breaks inbetween. even if its just a "haha killed you", youre not IN the game, you still see things around you (not as good as someone who's not playing, because ofc, you are concentrated, but alone you totally forget whats going on around you).

IMO games are made to be played together anyway. and since games are "normal" nowadays, its socially good if played together like lets meet do this, play some. but if you're comming home, play alone for X hours and totally forget all things around you, u know. when I had holidays for 5 weeks last year, where there was not enough money to do smth special, a good mate asked me once if I'd come to him, he has a new Xbox with tekken5 and CoD, enough to smoke and to eat and all. and this lasted for 5 days or so. other people came in (1 maybe slept there too), we were actually either talking about this or that or playing ( or both), maybe a DVD inbetween, and this is what we were doing all day actually. from in the morning in to the night. that were some relaxing 5 days, and you didnt even feel like "ive lost something, wasted time", while when you would do this alone, you'd maybe be like "i could have made much more out of that week".
together, that is.

Ugh, felt like writing. hehe Grin

about that "not a way to educate children", well, IMO more than 90% of all parents are not able to educate their children the "right" way anyway. Ofc they mean it good and think they're doing the best they can, but when a mother or father ask themselves "am I doing the best for my child?", its actually the wrong way (not bad tho). you cant tell your kid smth like "realize whats important for you in life", or you cant say him "THIS is important in life" at all. they have to find it out by themselves, all you can do is give them tips on their way, you cant carry them. you cant save them. ofc you can save them from running into a car. but you cant keep them free of problems, mistakes etc. they are essential. and what many parents do is way more dangerous for the kid as any PC game. I could go into detail for another 10000 lines, but, pc games arent the problem people should focus when they hear the word "education". I, for my part, had the freedom to do anything, make mistakes and all. and my mom didnt run to me when I made one and kissed my butt "everything is good", nor did she burn my ass BECAUSE I made mistakes. she left me space to react, to experience.
so I dont see why you dont play such games "BECAUSE" its the wrong way to educate children in your opinion. just my 2 cents to it.
