is there any way to change settings for dawnspire if your compooper seems to be remembering them even after uninstall-reinstall? Outside of dawnspire that is. cuz i misclicked in the settings when i got it working and made it go poof.

The screen always says "out of range - /75hz" to me, and i've had the problem with other games when doing settings. those were fine cuz of the 15-second confirm changes things.

in other words, is there a way to change graphics settings outside of dawnspire or a way to restore the defaults?

What do i change to change what.
For example the highest chance problem is the resolution. how would i go about changing that to 1280x1024?

u took the wrong settings.xml

u have to take the one in the folder whatever\Silent Grove Studios\Dawnspire not whatever\Silent Grove Studios\Dawnspire\system

Yeah i use the search from the Silent grove studios folder and it's subfolders, using the search term .xml

and i only get one result. that one.

...is correct. Edit the settings.xml file here and you're fine. If you don't have any such file in the .../silent Grove Studios/Dawnspire directory, then get a new one and put it there. I've tweaked my settings quite a bit, so perhaps someone in the community could post a copy of an untweaked version in this thread? Then you could create a new settings.xml file from it.

   clientPort = ""                       (dont know what to write there but try 3169, thats whats in my file)
   playerCharacterFile = ""          (take 24918, thats the id of Halfway-Reaver)
