What's this name thieves!!! I don't know anyone who is playing Guild Wars. In my search the only "KoE" I came across in GW was Knights Of Echovald but I couldn't find a Knights of Eld. There is, however, there is a Knights of Eld in WoW (amazingly pissed at this I hate WoW - Unless it's one of our members then it's ok Cheesy).

I'm not a big fan of GW, I've played it a few times. I may give it a shot some time, but it's doubtful. I still enjoy my FPS games Tongue

ATTENTION ALL KoE MEMBERS!
As i've said in a previous post,i tried to create a guild in GW with the name Knights of Eld but the name already existed.I was desperate and i didn't want our guild to vanish into thin air so i created a new guild called *drums sound effect goes here*...
Knights of Elders!!! And i have the KoE tag!

I'll be waiting for you in the Nightfall campaign.Feel free to add me.I'm Ravenna Frostburn-elementalist/mesmer-(no Darth Omedus? It's a shock;i know Smiley

ok, before i buy GW i've got some questions.

1) whats GW about?
2) only pvp as in DS?
3) does it have items?
4) is it good?
5) does it have a monthly fee?
6) are you guys talking about GW1 or GW2? afaik there already exists an 2nd part?!?!?

7) shal: i've got CSS now; so if you want we could play some rounds. I am still noobish though

Cool thanks for answering my questions Smiley

1. GW is CORPG. It's instanced, there is no shared world, but outposts like cities and stuff. There is much PvE, missions and quests, but GW is mostly focused on PvP. There isn't large fights going, party of 8 is largest, as far as I know. So, I'd say it's not about PvP, but that's the main focus. It's all about your character and your skills. There are plenty of skills for everyone, but like in Dawnspire, you only get to wield few of them in battle.

2. No. There is PvE aswell. But you can create a PvP character which is automaticly max. leveled and best geared. All though, you need to unlock skills for your PvP characters, you can do this in both PvE by playing and discovering or bying those skill, or in PvP where you gain balthazar points for each kill and victory, and those points allow you to unlock PvP item-enchantment, skills, runes or heroes.

3. Yes. Items and stuff to improve those items. Also, you got runes to improve your armor.

4. Yes.

5. No. You buy it once and get a lifetime account.

6. Probably GW1. GW2 is currently in development, beta is coming next year. GW1 contains three campaings (Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall) and one expansion (Eye of the North). Every campaing is its own game, so you can't play character created in Prophecies, in Nightfall, for example. None of those campaings require another game to play it. Eye of the North requires you to have one of the campaings, and there you can play with every character you will create.

Hey Gleip! How do i put this...You MUST buy GW.The game is awesome.Let's move to the answers you seek.

1)GW is an MMORPG.It's sth like WoW.Fantasy setting,a bit of grinding and the most important part:PvP for all.
2)No.It's not an only-PvP game. You can choose to create a PvE or a PvP character. The level cap is only 20 because the game focuses more on the PvP part.
3)Yes.Like all RPGs it has items, crafting materials, runes that enhance your armour and weapons and stuff like that.
4)It's good from every aspect.
5)No.It's free to play. You just buy the game(apx.30 euros) and you are ready to go.
6)Currently there is GW1.I'm not sure when GW2 is going to be released.

7)I don't like FPS games Sad

this complete collections sounbds very interesting, ideed, but: it doesnt have the original program, am i right?

Another questions to some GW players:

"All though, you need to unlock skills for your PvP characters, you can do this in both PvE by playing and discovering or bying those skill, or in PvP where you gain balthazar points for each kill and victory, and those points allow you to unlock PvP item-enchantment, skills, runes or heroes."

which means that a guild founded the day before cant beat a guild which exists for, lets say, 2 years, because the new founded guild doesnt have all skills avaiable. (and the skills which unlock are more powerfull than tmost of the other).
