settings.xml?

Hi. I have installed the game from the community installer and cannot find the settings.xml file to change buttons mapping. There is one but it doesn't have any keyboard mapping in it. Any idea?

You don't need to hax settings.xml file...? or why would you like to do that?

You cannot change where map is mapped. I would like to map it somewhere else.

Oh no, this is the end of my thread. BTw, I am trying to play DS in a laptop I bought with vista x32 and I am having problems with my usb mouse. It seems I cannot target correctly, the target' target is a little bit under where the target is showing. I have also some sound problems but they can be as well related to my laptop sound card or drivers.

Can Dawnspire be run on Windows Vista?
Dawnspire does not support Vista out of the box, but if you follow these steps it should run without any issues:

1) Log in with administrator rights
2) Right click on the Launcher.exe icon in the Dawnspire directory
3) Choose properties
4) Choose the Compatibility tab
5) Check the box for "Run this program as administrator" (solves a known issue with downloading patches)
6) Check the box for "Make Desktop composition inactive" (solves a known issue with the ingame mousepointer)

Even with your steps, it runs with vista. You never made it run in any other compatibility mode.

Hey thanks Z, now it works just fine. Almost fine, playing in a laptop is a pain, I guess I'll get used with time. Now the big question is should I make a new guild or apply to join TT?

Regarding the settings.xml file it is located in the Dawnspire directory and should look someting like this (as you can see I have changed the key for map):
