I had a talk with one of the admins live from http://www.servepath.com/index.v2.php
Here is what he sent me to email sec ago:

Hello Jani,

It was Good to chat with you today, and I hope you are well.

Just to confirm our conversation.  Please feel free to use promo code GGRF for  the $100.00 credit.  The best use of this credit is to purchase the Business Cloud Plan ($99.99), which will give you 800 RAM hours.  Here is the link:
http://www.gogrid.com/pricing/index.php?promocode=GGRF

To upgrade to the Business Cloud Plan, go to your my.gogrid.com customer portal, select "My Account" from the top options, "Billing" from the tabs and then "Upgrade" from the left bar. You can then inform GoGrid which plan you need.

Here is the WIKI, which  provides you with relevant details:  http://wiki.gogrid.com/wiki/index.php/Main_Page

Your friends and business partners can also use my special promo code GGRF to receive the $100.00 credit.  Simply forward them this information.

I hope this helps, and if there is anything else you want to know, please don't hesitate to contact me.  Also please send me an email to confirm receipt of this information.  Thanks.

Well I definitely want to test the server before deciding anything. So can you set it up at some point?

How much does it cost btw? 100$ per week/month?

I'm in and with a financial commitment as well. Would like a test as nightmare mentioned.

There is a lot to do here: we want a test.
We have to set up a system of payments so one person isnt left holding the bag at the end of each month.
Is there a time commitment or is it month to month?
I am sure that what is left of the community can come up with the money, but how do we make it happen? Paypal or how?

So what does that mean exactly? You can't set up a test server either?

Let's say I take the responsibility here. Are you sure I'm not committing myself to anything if we use that 100$ starting credit? We can just try it and if it sucks then that's that?

You won't die if you do it or so... It's relyable you can talk live with the admins or supporters or what ever they are. And discuss about it.

We should also consider that at the beginning, there may be more money than we need for a month. either way and how ever it works I am in.

No I doubt it kills me either, but there's a good chance of losing some money which makes me less excited here...

So how would this work exactly if we were to rent this server? Do we move the master server to it or what? Also to make this viable we really are looking for 50 people minimum to spread the cost.

$100 is currently 77 euros or £68 If we could spread the cost as thinly as possible say 1 or 2 euros each. No one would miss that a month.

I would suggest Paypal as the payment method of choice. Whoever takes on the task of paying for this those paying him could probably set up a standing order through paypal to pay him the sum required during the month.

Also to make it viable every one would need to be able to connect to it with out problems, I guess that is the test week.

I agree with persus here totally. Though if we don't get enough payers we still gave some so the costs will maybe be around 5 €/month is just everyone who I think could pay will pay.

OK. Suggestion 2:

We pay myrmox 100 dollars a month to keep his server up 24/7. It's a good deal, the money stays within the community. Myr can buy a friggin new computer every year for the rest of his life just for that money. Hmm, since Myr is a doctor tho... I doubt he needs the money anywho O_o

Ok whatever.
