Although the singleplayer campaign was short and boring, I loved the engine and lack of elves/gnomes and magic weapons. Gonna blow the dust off it when the expansion is released and zerg ppl with Huscarls Smiley

Mount and Blade rocks. I never seem to tire to Arena battles. Very addictive combat engine.

Graphics may not be much to look at, but the gameplay is definitely there.

yeah, the combat is actully better then most "big" games out there, although you can get this game to look/be more awesome with the help of a few mods http://forums.taleworlds.net/index.php/topic,36914.0.html <--- like this one, personal favorite and it makes a BIG diffrence!. Smiley

http://forums.taleworlds.net/index.php/topic,8058.0.html <--- mod so you can have 300vs300 battles or more if your compy can handle it!

http://forums.taleworlds.net/index.php/topic,51681.0.html <--- Sound mod, more metaly sound when you hit armor and better "dieing" sounds etc

i cant wait for multiplayer, its going to be awesome battling other players instead of the AI

Personally I started playing this while it still was in the beta. You just have to ttry the old versions. 0.80x, 0.903 and 0.960 are the previous versions with most/best mods. http://forums.taleworlds.net/index.php/topic,30480.msg783325.html#msg783325

It's a sandbox game, you can't make it short...

So it was. If my memory doesn't fail me they still had only two factions back then. Brings back beautiful memories of those laggy battles with flying horses...
