I usually avoid this section, because it doesn't feel dignified to view my posts under a "spam" -forum.

In the ideal world, I'd be a paladin, well doer, honest as could be, good hearted, with a SINCERE will to help others, and put myself in the rough of it, if required. I'd have kickass holy powers, but not so much as to take the challenge out of things.

I wish I could grow up to become a paladin Smiley

Nice one, Nightmare. That's some way to twist the meaning of a word. Anyway, I like Sparrisen's vision of an ideal world. It shows that he has a good heart or at least that he wants us to think so.

not that any1 is really interested, I just feel posting meaningless stuff, here's my vision of an ideal world: In the ideal world, I'd be a scientist and my specialty would be genetics. I'd perform all sorts of cool, ethically questionable and risky experiments, like modifying the human genome, and making virus vectors with cool genes in them. It pisses me off not being able to do things like that, sure there are lots of risks, but taking those risks would be well worth it. The evolution of human species shouldn't be stalled just because of priests and philosophers. (just a personal opinion of mine, if it's against your beliefs, don't feel offended, I'd like to avoid harming people and being harmed by others, if possible.)

In the real world (that sometimes makes me wanna puke), there's a 90% probability of that I'll just study biology in an university and become a small-time scientist with delusions of grandeur, never accomplishing anything meaningful. (There's also a 3% probability of being a total failure, a 6% probability of achieving something nice in the field of biology, and a 1% probability that something totally unexpected happens.)

Or perhaps that I'd like to have a good heart in the ideal world? I don't believe anyone is perfect, but the continuous effort to get ever closer to that is the taste of life.

Had I accomplished my every single goal (which includes do become immortal, or "forever young" or nonaging) I'd want to become a paladin, even in the world we have today. The closest thing to it today I guess is a terrorist, which aint exactly the same thing :/

Anyhow, it's not in anyway meaningless, and of course I'm interested, which is why I made this post. I hardly believe that anyone's dreams of greatness includes taxes and a cubicle. Your ideal world actually reminds me of my brother's, knowing his mind, I gave him the choice of being either a:

Wizard/mage/sorcerer
or-
Scientist, Gadget maker, Spark, Inventor (like the dude who made Gizmoquack!)

He chose the mage, but with a lot of hesitation.

((Actually, as a really small kid I wanted to become a blacksmith, shaping my brother's inventions in metal form))

In the Ideal world people wouldn't waste their time with praying to a "god". They wouldn't mind if a Jew would play soccer with a catholic and they wouldn't exclude someone or even kill someone because of their religion. No war between states or random people because their faith is another one as their own one. No faith = no varieties who induce more problems as they solve, as they actually do not solve any problems. No assassinations because "god told me so and I'll fly in heaven with 72 Virgins all just fore me if I blast myself Oo". Wouldn't the world be bether when people wouldn't adhere to something that doesn't exist? That's just splitting people, who just vary in personality, look and so on. Now that they all believe in dissimiliar things, they are packed in groups who aren't ment to be together (not everywhere tho), even though they aren't really different, not at all..

It's like children who believe in Santa Claus bother someone because he doesn't think so, because he has got another religion. Just that adult's don't bother like kids, they kill because they fell offended in their belief or whatever.

So.. In the Ideal world there WOULD be a God ( thats me). And I would tell all the people that they got a WILL and they should do what they'd like to instead of wage war and this shit just because their parents told them different story's about "well, there was jesus, no, there was abraham blabla".
And if a god existed and I were this god I would fucking help people, a mother who have to chaff 2 kids alone and have to sell her body and all that..
And If there were a god.. why praying to him when he's doing nothing, .. you could also adore a stone..

I wouldn't mind if people wouldn't pray "please help all the people in the world".. but help other ppl instead of doing nothing as to hope.. doesn't the bible teach us so, even though it's a book full of .. well.. nevermind, I don't want to be offensive adverse ppl who mind god and all that  Wink

it's really interesting to see what people want to be in their "wildest dreams", up until now, we have a a paladin, a semi-mad scientist and a real god. Every1 should post in this thread.

In my ideal world people would dress the same and actualize themselves by their actions, not their appearance. Every shirt would say: "And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise".

Well said Bernie. While you dont have to believe in God, you must admit that the bible isnt total rubbish. " as ye reap, so shall ye sow"

I think Gandhi said something like "I like your Christ, but I don't like your christians, because they are so different from your Christ." and I couldn't agree more with this saying. Jesus told us to love each other, yet we did nothing but waged wars.
