Sup fellas


I've been currently working on my own bot list and seen new stuff changed old etc etc.
I also got an idea to get 10th skills working etc, for example gate, gash ^^

I've also been renaming the bots after the loving community players

Here is the list of players who are atm named in there:

Reavers:
Hullu
Waihi
Kemmix
Cyber
Witches:
Bern
Smisk
Doom
Myrm
Templars:
Nightmare
Platina

Shadowblades:
Petter
Swiss (sorry I know I was selfish)

Btw, there is 4 templars one just not renamed.

If you want your name to appear in the bot list do the following:
Post here which class you want, name, and if you want (I can do this easy) your bots build. If needed I will balance the build up etc.
And if you see yourself as nonbusy man, alot of time to spear.. Make my job easier and post in following format:
Bot name: name (bot)
Class: Class
Build:
"skill name" level="xx"
"skill name" level="xx"
"skill name" level="xx"
"skill name" level="xx"
"skill name" level="xx"
"skill name" level="xx"
"attribute name" level="xx"
"attribute name" level="xx"
"attribute name" level="xx"


If you notice some bot standing out too much, please report about it:) (Same as myrm is doing basicly)


AI achievements:
Bots should now go to the most contested relic always
If there is someone capping op and relic is out, the order of duties is: out post > relic > enemy survaillance

I've just been messing around with these AI things, and I got no idea if my code line actually worked there. If you see a difference please tell me! I did try to make bots do these straight through the server bases which might make it impossible to work actually. Which would mean that everyone should have to patch up to have bot AIs as default bases^^

excuse me, but what kind of build do you plan on using Demo(bot) with?  Here's my favourite seeker build.
Berserker Fury
   12
   Brutal Combination
   2
   Bull Rush
   8
   Taunt
   8
   Kneecap Buster
   8
   Bombard
   12

Attributes
   Constitution
   6
   Strength
   2
   Wisdom
   2

Altough i'm little worried, that the bot AI might not know how to use bombard and start using it, for an example, just when it has a good fury on. So, this 1 might work better.

Altough i'm little worried, that the bot AI might not know how to use bombard and start using it, for an example, just when it has a good fury on. So, this 1 might work better.

So first impression on the bot AI etc. Cybersmoothies looked a little broken. He used sprint to chase my prowler stopped used telecinetic push which missed then instantly applied sprint about a seconed later ignoring the 15 seconed cooldown.

I watched a seeker bot use bombard with great success.

I also watches the same seeker bot finish of an enemy with 2 relics on ground. instead of going for relic he sprinted past em to cap an op near them.

The bots are way tougher. Just got to be careful they aren't so tough that they scare away new players. It's a baptism of fire as it is at times. If they feel they can't even kill a bot it will frustrate them possible to the point they leave.

Name wise. not a great fan of naming bots after players in game. It starts to appear to the outside and new player that the game is elitist. Seen it happen before. (not just saying that cause I don't have one) It also could lead to confusion again with new players.

What if we had a naming contest? would add much needed traffic through the forums. Choose a class each month and pitch ideas for the 6 or so bots names.

DO all your templars have heal? If so the one on my side was refusing to heal me.

TBH, I like that idea, alot! Hmm... I might just do this ^^

Would be nice if someone would come up with patented idea how to do this polling, since it's not that simple I think. ^^
But well, anyone can get their name into my bots list, making new bots for me is easy since I can permit bot IDs easily by making "new" bots to my computer and giving them ID. Also I can use the already existing bot IDs as replacements

A way of doing the naming contest is this.

IF you have a name you post it in the thread. If the next poster has a name then they copy the names above and add there own name. IF the next poster though doesn't have a name but likes one of those mentioned then they copy and past the names into their reply and increase the votes for that name by one. At the end of the week or month the top names are used to name all the bots needed.

I just played another game. This time the bots ignored the op, running past it going for relics at back of enemy base.

I might be asking for the impossible, but the real problem with bot allies is that I know how they will play, making them easy targets. If I see a bot close to a relic, I'll just let the bot go pick up that relic, cause I know that I can flurry that bot all i want. Another problem that occurs when you have 2 or more bots in your team is that bots are rarely where they are needed the most. If we have an op to watch and relics to carry, all the bots blindly rush to the relics, leaving the op just asking to be capped. They also fight alone, instead of waiting for their to gather.

as I said earlier, this is an unreasonable request, what I'm asking is bots that could actually "think". It's just that if you can come up with a way to improve the bot performance even just a little bit, it might be the awesome.

Thiiiisss.. is something I might not be cabable of.. since the current things I've done are really minor lines among the bots like op>relic>enemy kinda things ... I'm not too great at this ^^
