Looking forward to seeing the intelligent bots in action. For the record there already are random elements in Dawnspire (PoW, NW hits and Toe procs come to mind).

Looking forward to seeing the intelligent bots in action. For the record there already are random elements in Dawnspire (PoW, NW hits and Toe procs come to mind).

I've found that NW is anything but random.... unless i'm just very very unlucky in the game. I've been hit up to 4 times in a row in a NW when there were 3 other people in it. Yesterday I got hit 3 times in a row when there were shadowbounds and 3 teammates in it. From what I've seen, it looks like it will hit the first person in the NW until they are either dead or moved out of it (to which case it moves to the next one in). If it's cast over more than one person, I think then it is either random or done by some kind of rank basis.

Toe procs are a little different, I don't know exactly how it works... but I think it might be like bombard. With bombard, somehow the shells seem to hit as close to players in it as possible, following the standard hit pattern (so one or two shells will differ closer towards players). Most of the time with toe, it will stun someone - and i'll be like "hey they're stunned!" ... I'll walk over, and just as I get close, I get stunned too lol.

PoW again, is a little different I think. I would say PoW is probably the most random aspect of the game.... but if you use skill to pick the right time to cast it, the initial spread isn't random (as far as I know). It's only the after spread that has a chance of affecting more people, the higher the level is. But then again, is skill needed to make a good class build? - because if you are skilled enough to select PoW with level 12 (for example), then the chance of it spreading is very high... and less random aspects.

Does anyone know if the relic opening is random?... Almost everytime I play a map, the order at which relics open differs. Must be a random element?
---------------------------
But yeah, in terms of removing or adding a random element... I think if the random element helps balance the classes once the skill changes are made (if they are made), then that would be best. Say, if people find that prowler (for example  Grin) is found to be too over powered with the changes... maybe set the chance for criticals lower for prowler?

Or if templars seem to be dieing, as they usually are  Cheesy - maybe give them a higher chance for critical so that  they may get lucky in escaping the hunting party.

Or maybe just keep Dawnspire as it is, the classes are perfectly balanced right now so no need to change them.

As for what comes to randomnes, the only really annoyingly random thing is Veil.

Are you saying it's 'random' as in you don't like it or that it's just a random aspect?
